Knitted flower CLIP

THESE ROSES WILL NOT DIE

It's been quite a long time since I've put up any sort of knitting pattern hasn't it!?  SORRY!  This one isn't much, but it's what I've been knitting for the past couple of weeks.  Loads of little pink roses:

GARTER STITCH ROSE PATTERN:

I used a DK yarn and 3.75mm needles

For a bigger rose, use thicker yarn and bigger needles.

The rose worked all in knit stitch.  I did try it with stocking stitch but it just wasn't right.

CO 50

Knit 9 rows

K2tog to end of row
K row

K2tog to end of row
K row

K2tog to end of row
K row

Cut yarn leaving the remaining stitches on the needle.
Using a darning needle, thread the yarn through the remaining stitches.
Twist the piece round to form the rose shape and a couple of stitches should keep it all in place.

Then it's totally up to you what you want to do with the pretty little rose.
Put it on a hair clip?
Use as a brooch?
Decorate a cardigan?

For added detail (though i haven't tried this yet myself) you could cast on in a different colour.  so the edging of the rose will stand out.

Enjoy the pattern guys!  Do what ever you want with it.

Sick day with my Bean

Here I sit at home with my Bean who is sick as sin. Temps peaking throughout the night to 102.6 and miss sassy pants doesnt like the taste of the liquid tylenol. So she spent the night  suffering with the high fever since it was too soon for her dose of motrin.
She is better now this am, she had a popsicle for breakfast. WHAT?! you ask? A POPSCILE!
well since she has a sore throat the doc said it is best to give them cold stuff to sooth her throat. And being that she doesnt wanna eat, popsicle it was. and i really dont care! so SUK IT if you are judging me right now

today as i sit here with my coughing, hot, grumpy 4 year old attached like a monkey to me watching The Wizard of OZ i feel humbled because it's been a while since we have been this poor.
No Cell phones: disconnected
No cable: disconnected
No more coffee creamer!
$2.18 in the bank account
no $ for hanging baskets this year
no $ for tomatoe plants this season
and everyone is breathing down our necks for payments we owe on EVERYWHERE!
I had to borrow $20 G-D frkn dollars just to buy Motrin and popsicles for my sick Seleena Bean!

How did it come to this? i know!.... its called WHERE the H-E- double hockey sticks (L-L) are our prorities!
RE-EVALUATION of these so called prorities are due to be looked into very closely TODAY!
Im in my 30's for god's sake and i thought i would have this figured out by now!

SIGH....off i go since i have a grip of time today in between being coughed on and taking 500 practice math final tests to think of What is most important for the GUTIERREZ's as a whole through these tight $$$ money crunches.....
